Clinical supervision carries significant ethics responsibilities. Supervisors must support supervisees' professional development, assess their competence, navigate complex organizational and professional expectations, and safeguard the well-being of clients. This course will strengthen your ability to do so by:

  • situating ethical clinical supervision within the broader systems that shape behavioral health practice;

  • showing how you can promote supervisees' ethical awareness, provide meaningful oversight, address concerns about professional competence, and foster accountability;

  • deepening your understanding of ethical supervision and its essential role in protecting client welfare, building public trust, and upholding the integrity of the behavioral health professions.

What You'll Learn

By the end of this course, you will be better able to:

  • describe how multiple systems impact the supervision process;

  • support, evaluate, and hold supervisees accountable for competent, ethical practice; and

  • recognize the role supervision plays in protecting client welfare, building public trust, and ensuring the integrity of the profession.
