Instructor

Instructor Nirmala Dhar

Nirmala Dhar, LCSW is a senior policy analyst and Older Adult Behavioral Health Services Coordinator with the Oregon Health Authority’s Health Systems Division. She serves as project director for the Older Adult Behavioral Health Initiative and Pre-Admission Screening Resident Review Level II (Serious Mental Illness) Coordinator. She has 36 years of public-sector behavioral health experience, including 18 years with Clackamas County Behavioral Health and a decade as a geriatric mental health specialist. Her work is grounded in social justice, equity, disability justice, and anti-oppressive practice, with a focus on cross-sector collaboration for individuals with complex needs.

Additionally, ACORN has been approved by the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7274.
