This course is approved by the Mental Health & Addictions Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO) for 1 continuing education unit (CEU). A CEU is a measure used in continuing education programs to quantify the time spent during professional development activities. To earn CEUs, you will need to 1) attend all course sessions and complete all required course activities and 2) complete the course evaluation survey. A certificate of attendance and CEUs will be made available on the Student Dashboard upon course completion. The course is asynchronous, which means that you will be able to complete course activities at your own pace. Activities include pre-recorded presentations.

OHA Instructor Roxann Jones

Roxann Jones is the Problem Gambling Statewide Prevention and Outreach Specialist with the Oregon Health Authority. She brings more than 35 years of experience in designing and implementing prevention programs that address risky behaviors, as well as in managing programs in problem gambling prevention and in treatment and children’s intensive mental health wraparound services. Roxann is deeply committed to building healthy communities and has provided leadership on numerous community, state, and national task forces focused on population health and well-being.

OHA Instructor Andrew Cartmill

Andrew Cartmill, BS, CPS is a former Senior Program Communication and Education Specialist with Washington County’s Addiction Services Program and a certified trainer in suicide intervention and prevention. His background includes creating and voicing public service announcements, audiobooks, and educational media, as well as hosting a county television program and producing narrated instructional videos.
