Presenters

Instructor Glenn Yamagata

Glenn Yamagata, MPhil is Executive Director of the Oregon Council on Problem Gambling. He is a trained economist and data scientist with Problem Gambling Solutions, Inc., and has nearly a decade of experience working in the problem gambling field. Glenn holds an MPhil in Economics and an MA in Statistics from Yale University. His work focuses on applying data-driven approaches to advance prevention, treatment, and policy related to problem gambling.

Instructor Paige Vazquez

Paige Vasquez, PhD is a research scientist at Problem Gambling Solutions, Inc. and an outpatient mental health provider at Mangata Wellness in Salem, Oregon. She earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Pacific University in 2023, with an emphasis in Latino/x psychology. Dr. Vasquez has six years of experience in behavioral, cognitive, and problem gambling research and is deeply committed to culturally responsive, community-engaged research.

Instructor Jeff Marotta

Jeff Marotta, PhD, ICGC-II is an internationally recognized expert in problem gambling service development, with more than 100 publications and national presentations. He brings extensive experience as a clinical associate professor, researcher, internationally certified gambling counselor, and state administrator. Dr. Marotta’s work integrates research, clinical practice, and policy to advance effective problem gambling prevention and treatment services.
