What can I expect to learn?

Author of The NeuroWhereAbouts Guide, Dr. Collier explains how to: 1) identify children's NeuroWhereAbouts, or, what stage of brain development they are in; 2) how the brain is affected by risky behavior, including gambling; and 3) how to help grow and protect children's neuro-development from risky behavior by applying prevention science principles and brain-based teachings into everyday practice.

Who will I be learning from?

Instructor Crystal Collier

Crystal Collier, PhD is a therapist and educator with more than three decades of experience working with adolescents and adults affected by mental illness, behavioral challenges, and substance use disorders. A person in long-term recovery, her expertise includes adolescent brain development, prevention programming, parent coaching, addiction, family-of-origin work, and clinician training. Dr. Collier has received numerous awards and honors for her contributions to prevention and addiction treatment, including the 2015 Prevention and Education Commendation from the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence for her comprehensive prevention model.
