Join us for an insightful webinar highlighting the findings from recent community focus groups conducted this past spring with youth and their parents/caregivers. Dr. Paige Vazquez will present the key reports and offer actionable recommendations based on the data.

In addition, Glenn Yamagata from the Oregon Council on Problem Gambling will discuss how these findings will inform the implementation of a recently awarded Agility Grant, aimed at enhancing problem gambling prevention efforts across Oregon.

Presenters

Instructor Paige Vazquez (Reohr)

Paige is a Research Scientist at PGS, Inc. and clinical outpatient mental health provider at Mangata Wellness in Salem, Oregon. Paige completed a PhD in clinical psychology from Pacific University in Hillsboro, OR in 2023 with an emphasis in Latino/x psychology. Paige has worked in behavioral and cognitive research for six years and is particularly passionate about culturally-responsive and community-engaged research methodology. She has worked as a research assistant to Dr. Marrota for two years, assisting with problem gambling research and projects.

Instructor Glenn Yamagata

Glenn Yamagata, MPhil is a trained economist and data scientist at PGS, Inc. Glenn has been working in the field of problem gambling for the last 8 years. He has an MPhil in Economics and MA in Statistics from Yale University.
